Planning group project

These pictures show some of the parts we have for the next project. The top and back wood in the photo is Amazon Rosewood. The top is cedar.

We are considering building two instruments, one with high quality tonewoods and one with salvaged wood. Actually, building with salvaged wood doesn't mean that the guitar will be of lesser quality.

Profiling a Rim

These pics show Tom's adjustable building form and his method of profiling the sides of the rim. He uses a flexible ruler to mark the profile shape on the sides and then planes the rim to the marks.
